Welcome to my blog. This blog will serve as my laboratory and vetting arena on the topic of PMOs (project management offices or program management offices).
My Background
I am a full time project manager. I have worked with companies of varying sizes, from small to Fortune 100.
I started my career as a business analyst is an Operations area of a large financial firm. Due to my technological knowledge and quick learning of the business, I was able to rotate to different business units until finally becoming a project manager. Since then I have worked in both ‘decentralized’ environments and within PMOs of varying maturities.
Despite where I am stationed at a given time, I remain steadfast in my belief of the exceptional value PMOs bring to the businesses they serve. I continue to hone my skills and knowledge in the area of PMOs (or ‘centers of excellence’). I am always open to the opportunity to listen, advise and consult on the formation and development of PMOs.
